Synopsis: 5500 Shades of the Demon King
In this narrative, the King takes center stage as the male protagonist. He accuses Seirin of defamation as a result of the concocted scenes in her book. The King is convinced that the only person who read the book was the Queen and declares to employ his powerful gem to punish anyone who has read it - a law which he must abide by under threat of death. However, once he realizes the book has garnered a massive following, the King attempts to lessen the charges against Seirin by reproducing half of the scenes, resulting in a profusion of sensual and steamy bedchamber scenes. Seirin, fearing retribution and desiring to sell more books, becomes a staff writer in the palace and crafts more accessible stories that can be easily acted out. Even though she is inexperienced in matters of love and intimacy, Seirin becomes enamored of the King's admirable appearance and kind demeanor. The Queen, recognizing Seirin's potential, encourages her to become the King's mistress and embrace her obligations to the court while also returning to her hometown.
