Synopsis: A Spirit of the Sun

Japan has been hit by a series of massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in the early years of the 21st century. The outcome is devastating, as the country is now divided into two and millions have perished. The economy is in disarray, and the remaining population is under the occupation of "aid forces" from the U.S. and China. Against all odds, Genichiro Ryu, an exceptional young lad, endures the calamity and spreads his message of unwavering hope: "The sun still rises above the clouds and ash, and the sky remains blue."
