Synopsis: Blades of the Guardians

The government hires "Escorts" as skilled fighters to eliminate designated targets. Dao Ma, a wandering warrior, strives to pay off his debt to Mo, who provided for Dao Ma and his child, Xiao Qi. However, during their journey back to Mo's village, they come across a victim of the "rakshasa"—demonic creatures that prey on humans. As the number of rakshasa victims increases and violence, enslavement, and merciless warriors abound, Dao Ma becomes entangled in the escalating terror gripping the nation during the final years of the Sui dynasty.
