Synopsis: CANDY AND CIGARETTES

Raizou Hiraga emerged from retirement at age 65 when he learned his grandson Shouta had fallen into a coma from an incurable ailment. To cover the expensive treatment costs, he searched for high-paying employment and chanced upon a job advertisement from SS Agency that offered the exact monthly amount he needed. With scant details, Raizou met his new boss, Kinume, at Desperado, a thrift bookstore. Despite his misgivings, he accepted the offer due to his dire financial situation. He was expecting to work as a hotel housekeeper, but soon discovered that his cleaning duties entailed more than he bargained for: he stumbled upon the corpse of a murder victim, an 11-year-old girl named Miharu Suzukaze. Nonetheless, his successful completion of his first mission piqued Miharu's interest, and she recruited Raizou as her partner in crime. His experience protecting political figures plunged him into a violent world as they uncovered a conspiracy lurking in the shadows.
