Synopsis: Chicago

In the midst of the 21st century, Tokyo is undergoing a constant expansion to keep up with its rapidly growing population. However, their efforts to accommodate its people have left Tokyo Bay filled with landfill. A devastating earthquake strikes the city, causing the landfill to liquefy and bringing destruction to the newly-developed urban area. The Self-Defense Force Rescue Squad Four is sent to the site to help, but they quickly uncover a treacherous plot of murder and chaos that claims the lives of most of the squad. Only Rei and Uozumi make it out alive, and they are forced to fight for their survival. The only place where they can seek refuge and assistance is a bar in South Shinjuku known as Chicago. The natural disaster has left Tokyo in shambles, with countless fatalities and heaps of debris covering the city. Rei and Uozumi embark on a mission to rescue survivors in Bay District D, only to make a startling discovery. They stumble upon a series of dead bodies, each with fatal bullet wounds. In a sudden ambush, the duo is attacked from the sky. They wonder if these assailants are the culprits behind the murders, but what could be their motive? Barely escaping with their lives, Rei and Uozumi learn that their team is simply recorded as “collateral damage” and their files have been erased.
