Synopsis: Double Marriage

In Japan's future, the legalization of bigamy allows individuals to legally wed two spouses, leading to a myriad of questions about the dynamics of serious relationships. With long-term relationships no longer removing people from the dating pool, will the availability of multiple partners encourage more commitment? Will society embrace this new norm despite its legality? The story follows Ikuta Naosuke, a married man who reunites with a former classmate, Itou Yuko, who has had a crush on him since middle school. Despite being wed, Naosuke and Yuko embark on an illicit affair. As bigamy becomes legalized, Naosuke considers marrying Yuko as well, grappling with hurting his original wife and the possibility of Yuko finding another partner. As Naosuke and those around him adjust to the idea of "double marriage", they soon understand the complexities it introduces.
