Synopsis: Dragon Drive

Reiji Oozora is known for being a complete failure, particularly in academics. Luckily, his friend Maiko Yukino offers him her notes with the stipulation that he agrees to take her anywhere she desires. Maiko takes Reiji to a hidden location where the virtual reality game Dragon Drive awaits. Reiji joins the game and receives his own dragon, which is the tiniest and weakest of them all. Despite this disadvantage, Reiji names the dragon Chibi. After immersing themselves in the game, Reiji and Maiko find themselves battling a fellow classmate named Daisuke, who also harbors feelings for Maiko. During the battle, Reiji starts to lose hope, but Chibi springs into action and crushes its much larger opponent. The exhilaration of his victory and the adrenaline rush lead Reiji to become addicted to the game. A staff member from Dragon Drive with the code name Agent L approaches Reiji and Maiko, impressed with Chibi's performance. She offers them special training and reveals that the game's true purpose is to bring out the full potential of the players' dragons. Suddenly, a mysterious girl appears on a dragon and whisks them away to a magical world on the brink of destruction by an evil group known as RI-ON. As fate would have it, Reiji's undersized dragon is the only hope to save the catastrophic kingdom. From here, the adventure begins!
