Synopsis: Friend Counter

“Anyone who can’t control their friend count… doesn’t deserve a future!!” Hayato Makabe is a broke, friendless high school nobody. One day, a strange man in a lab coat—Myakuzuka—appears in his classroom. He distributes special contact lenses, and when worn, each student can suddenly see a number floating above everyone’s heads: Their number of friends. Then comes the real shock. “In 24 hours, the student with the lowest number… dies.” Thus begins the Government’s “Friendship Culling Project.” A twisted survival class where deceit, betrayal, submission—and even genuine bonds—decide life or death. Is friendship just a chain to be broken? Or the last hope to cling to? With exploding brains and unmasked truths, Hayato must navigate a deadly social death game.
