Synopsis: Gokusen

Kumiko Yamaguchi, nicknamed "Yankumi," secures a post as a mathematics teacher at a boys-only high school immediately following her graduation from college. However, her enthusiasm ebbs away after learning that she must instruct the notorious 3-D class, notorious for its pupils' rebellious behavior. The pupils' efforts to hinder her career notwithstanding, Yankumi's unwavering resolve and outspokenness engender her their admiration. In a twist unbeknownst to the institution's occupants, Yankumi is, in fact, a member of Tokyo's Kuroda Ikka yakuza clan who is slated to succeed at the helm.
