Synopsis: Good-Bye, Heron

Souji's existence had been marked by mundane happenings, his parents bickering incessantly, until enchanting Mika enters his life. She flits through each day with a lightness of being that captivates him. Together, they enter a relationship stripped of weighty proclamations such as "love" or "devotion", meeting occasionally without making commitments. Yet, when Mika utters "Who knows..." can an unremarkable liaison prompt Souji to declare, "I couldn't have made it this far without you"?
