Synopsis: Goodbye, My Rose Garden

As she pursues her dream of becoming an author, young Hanako flees from Japan to England. However, her desired publishing company dismisses and rejects her, leaving Hanako without any support. Until she encounters the charitable noblewoman, Alice Douglas, who offers her the position of a maid. Despite their contrasting social standing, Hanako finds pleasure in serving Alice, and their relationship gets stronger as time passes. One day, Alice presents to Hanako the chance to achieve her ultimate goal, on the condition that she takes Alice's life in exchange. Confused and inquisitive about Alice's entreaty, Hanako probes into the noblewoman's motivations and uncovers that there's more than meets the eye.
