Synopsis: Hoshizora no Karasu

Waka, just 13 years old, shares a profound love for Go, a passion she inherited from her grandfather who was a pro at the game. So engrossed is she that she even neglects her haircuts. However, her mother disapproves of Waka's interest in Go due to her negative image of Waka's father, who abandoned his wife on her deathbed to play the game. One day, while watching a match played by the celebrated Sagisaka Souji, Waka is captivated by his style. Ignoring her mother's objections, Waka resolves to pursue a career as a pro and proposes a bet: if she triumphs in the forthcoming tournament, her mother will permit her to follow her dream, but if she fails, she must relinquish her passion. Will Waka succeed as a pro Go player and win her wager, or will she be compelled to relinquish her aspirations?
