Synopsis: Hypnosis Mic -Before the Battle- The Dirty Dawg

Following the aftermath of the Third World War, a state of chaos consumed the world, leading to the establishment of a matriarchy during the power vacuum. In Japan, a government run only by women holds power, forcing the male population to live outside of Chuuouku. In addition, the implementation of the "H Law" prohibits the use of weaponry, instead promoting the use of devices called "Hypnosis Microphones," which influence an opponent's mind through the lyrics of a song. One year later, a conflict erupts in Ikebukuro between two groups: "Mad Comic Dialogue," led by gang member Samatoki Aohitsugi, and "Starway to Heaven," of which 17-year-old Ichirou Yamada is a member. Both factions are determined to increase their control over the district, which can only be accomplished through confronting each other. Elsewhere, Jakurai Jinguji, a former assassin turned medical specialist, finds himself saved from a rebel attack by the cheerful and enigmatic Ramuda Amemura. Intrigued by the technology used by Ramuda, Jakurai implores him to teach him the art of rapping and mic control. By pure coincidence, the four men join forces and realize they have the potential to gain control over all divisions in Japan and oppose the unjust system of Chuuouku. However, their plan may not go according to expectation, as their enemies may be closer than they think.
