Upon discovering that her senior, Yuuki "Senpai" Hisamizu, was attending the challenging Minami High School, Ayumi "Kouhai" Yurino felt her current academic standing wouldn't suffice for the entrance exam. Nevertheless, Senpai offered words of encouragement and coaching if she succeeded. After a year, Senpai encountered Kouhai who had gained admission to the school as a first-year student.
