Synopsis: Kakan no Madonna

Leonora, the daughter of a poor noble from Padua, is the protagonist of the story. She possesses striking silver hair and emerald green eyes, and is highly skilled in sword fighting. Unfortunately, she is forced to marry a conceited young nobleman who has sinister intentions. She soon discovers that he aims to use her connection to an ancient Italian legend to become the king of Italy. According to the myth, whoever discovers the "Emerald Lion," a legendary sword, shall rule and unite Italy. The painting "Kakan no Madonna" by Leonardo DaVinci depicts Leonora as the maiden who holds the sword's location. Desperately seeking answers about the portrait's secret and hiding her identity as Kakan no Madonna, Leonora disguises herself as a young boy named Leo and sets out to find the elusive artist. On her journey, she encounters Falco, the attractive and blonde king of Naples, whom she becomes a servant of, without revealing her true gender. Eventually, she discovers from DaVinci's mouth that she is, indeed, the girl of Kakan no Madonna and born to possess the Emerald Lion- thus proving her rightful place as the queen of Italy.
