Synopsis: Konyakusei

Sachi Hanaoka is faced with the reality of living alone after losing her parents in a tragic accident. Adding to her struggles, her young landlord Kouichi Saonji insists that she leave her apartment due to inability to pay rent. However, Kouichi offers an unconventional solution - marriage. Sachi would become Kouichi's caretaker, easing the pressure from his family to marry, while relieving her financial burdens. Despite their lack of emotional connection, Sachi is inexplicably drawn to Kouichi and agrees to the arrangement. But as they navigate their unconventional relationship, will they develop genuine feelings for each other or will they forever remain strangers? Bonus story: In "Farewell to the Coffin," volume two of the series, Sachi finds closure as she learns to accept the loss of her parents and finally move forward.
