Synopsis: Library Wars: Love & War

During the Showa era's conclusion, in compliance with the Media Betterment Act, a nationwide search for any media considered objectionable commenced. Libraries took issue with this absurd censorship and stepped forward to challenge the law, forming the Library Defense Force (LDF) as the sole opposition to the Media Betterment Committee (MBC). Newly accepted into the Kanto LDF, Iku Kasahara is a book-loving tomboy whose passion for reading motivated her to join the team. Nearly landing in hot water with the MBC years ago, Iku was rescued by an unknown LDF agent who became her hero. She has since made it her mission to protect books, and at just 22, she is already impressive among the newest LDF recruits. Despite achieving her goal of joining the LDF, Iku has a difficult time with her strict superior, Atsushi Doujou. Shocked to learn that Doujou and others are recommending her for the Library Task Forces (LTF), Iku must prove herself as a valuable member while executing her duties with care.
