Synopsis: Love & Lies

Japan is grappling with a low birth rate in the future, prompting the government to roll out the "Yukari Law"—a matchmaking system that pairs 16-year-old children based on genetic compatibility. Dubbed "The Red Threads of Science", the policy is widely embraced by society and comes with stiff consequences for non-compliance. Sadly, time is running out for Yukari Nejima as he approaches his 16th birthday. He decides to declare his affections for Misaki Takasaki, a beautiful and popular classmate he's held a torch for over the past five years. Miraculously, his feelings are reciprocated. However, before he can wrap his heart around this newfound love, he's hit with a government notice informing him he's to be wedded to his assigned partner, the blunt Ririna "Snooty" Sanada. Yukari's world is thrown into disarray as he battles to reconcile his emotions with his predetermined fate filled with love and deception.
