Synopsis: Masuraou

An ancient tradition lives on in a small town near Osaka. For centuries, the men of the town have competed in the "grand ceremony of Masuraou" to determine who will be crowned the town's king. Armed only with their bravery and fists, the competition is fierce. When Takeshi Yamato, a young student from Tokyo and former gang leader, moves to the town, he is quickly swept up in the competitive spirit. Despite his best intentions to leave his troubled past behind and fit into his new community, Takeshi finds himself embroiled in fights, romantic entanglements, and trouble with his newfound friends. Becoming a model student seems is a far-off goal as Takeshi navigates the challenges of this unique town.
