Synopsis: Mitsumei

Ivan holds the rank of lieutenant and works as a spy in the Russian army. His mission is to investigate the right-hand man of a powerful mafia boss. However, things take a personal turn when Ivan discovers that his target is Edward, an old friend from military academy who he hasn't seen in a decade. Ivan is perplexed as to how someone as warm-hearted and artistically inclined as Edward could be involved with a criminal organization. When they finally reunite, Ivan finds Edward still to be as friendly as ever, leaving him in a quandary over his loyalties to his mission and his friendship. Ivan decides to accept Edward's invitation to visit his home, only to find himself suddenly in captivity the next day. The frigid St. Petersburg is the backdrop for this spellbinding story of two former friends who become foes.
