Synopsis: One Outs

In "One Outs," a form of simplified baseball with only a pitcher and a batter, Toua Tokuchi holds an impressive record of 499 wins and zero losses due to his mastery in gambling and mind games. Hiromichi Kojima, a star batter of the weakest team in the Japanese baseball league, visits Tokuchi's hometown in Okinawa with a dream of leading his team to victory. However, Kojima ends up losing to Tokuchi in a game of One Outs due to a normal fastball. After a rematch, Kojima recruits Tokuchi to the team, hoping that he will be the key to their success. But, the team's owner refuses to offer Tokuchi a decent salary. To everyone's surprise, Tokuchi suggests a unique contract where he will gain five million yen for every out he pitches and lose fifty million yen for every run he gives up. Tokuchi's fate is now tied to the team's success, and his gamble to bring the Lycaons to victory becomes his ultimate challenge.
