Ikutarou works at Kaikarou, located in Edo Yoshiwara's red-light district, surrounded by stunning women. Fuyou stands out among them, possessing both beauty and intelligence. She's a go-to person for people from all walks of life when they cannot seek police aid. Upon discovering her secret, Ikutarou is assigned to serve as Fuyou's "eyes and ears," going out to investigate crime scenes and collect evidence so Fuyou can solve cases, all while being restricted to Kaikarou.
