Synopsis: Oyaji

Kumada resides in impoverished areas of Osaka and closely watches over his spouse and two offspring. Despite his formidable size and numerous scars, he labors tirelessly, indulges in smoking and imbibing sake as if it were water, and rarely speaks - striking fear into those who encounter him. However, Kumada holds a profound love for his kin and will risk his life to ensure their protection, even when a yakuza gang torched his home for the purpose of facilitating a real estate transaction. Following his imprisonment for the murder of those who had attempted to incinerate his loved ones, Kumada ultimately attained freedom after fifteen years behind bars and sought to reunite with his family. Nevertheless, his children bore suspicion toward their father, knowing nothing about him besides his departure from their lives. Despite this obstacle, Kumada remained resolute in reclaiming their upbringing, particularly that of his son, a street urchin victimized by the district's brutal toughs.
