Recently retired from the police force, Kurumi Ayaki has a proven track record of excellence and the courage and cunning to match it. To earn additional funds for her impending wedding, she reluctantly rejoins the force and is assigned to an elite unit responsible for tackling supposedly unsolvable crimes. Teamed up with an enigmatic young prodigy who lacks the ability to experience emotions or venture outside his room, Kurumi serves as his eyes and ears as they attempt to piece together crucial clues. All the while, her personal life crumbles before her very eyes.
