Synopsis: Rurouni Kenshin

It has been a decade since the Bakumatsu war ended, marking the dawn of the Meiji era - a time that was eagerly anticipated to bring about peace and freedom from the clutches of oppression. However, swords have been outlawed, yet the streets are still rife with murder and chaos. The war has left many orphans behind, and the government seems more interested in fattening their purses than providing for the people. Kenshin Himura, a wandering samurai and former Hitokiri Battousai, remains determined to uphold the values that compelled him to fight during the war. The guilt of the countless lives he has taken weighs heavy on his heart, and he has vowed never to kill again. In his 11th year of wandering, Kenshin meets Kaoru Kamiya, the owner of a struggling dojo that is being targeted by a man claiming to be Battousai. Together with Kaoru, Kenshin sets out to prove their innocence and put an end to the killings. But as he begins to uncover the truth, his past threatens to catch up with him.
