Synopsis: Sayonara Folklore

Hayase had absorbed the unwritten code of conduct at her school over the years and knew better than to touch anyone on a Monday. She even knew the words to recite if someone made the mistake of breaking the taboo. But when a new transfer student named Mashiro arrived, she was clueless about the rule. Hayase explained the tragic tale of two girls who had broken the rule and fallen in love with each other, only to suffer dire consequences, including a failed suicide attempt. She warned Mashiro that anyone she touched on Monday could become the object of her affections if she didn't recite the charm fast enough. Unfortunately, Mashiro had already breached the rule by touching Hayase on a Monday, causing her to panic. In addition to this narrative is the story of "The Professor's Kitten and the Rainy Morning."
