Synopsis: Suna no Eikan

During Nanashima's second year in high school, his baseball team fell short of qualifying for the nationals by a single devastating game. Now, as the captain of the team in his third year, Nanashima is disheartened to find that the current players are lackluster compared to last year's all-star starters, who have since graduated. With the odds stacked against them, there seems to be no chance of making it to the nationals. However, a long-time observer of the team's practices and games, Mr. Toku, takes it upon himself to secretly gift Nanashima with one million yen, urging him to use the funds in any way he deems necessary to secure the team's place in the nationals. Despite his good intentions, Nanashima is wary of the responsibility that comes with such a large and untraceable sum of money, fearing the temptations it may bring.
