Synopsis: Te to Kuchi

As a city like Edo prospers, the number of people residing within it increases, leading to a rise in potential conflicts. Although they come from different backgrounds, Shusuke, a lackadaisical merchant's apprentice with an articulate manner, and Rie, a poised and skilled jack-of-all-trades known as a Yamato nadeshiko due to her swordsmanship expertize, share a connection through their indebtedness to the same individual. This person serves as a mentor to Shusuke and as a landlord to Rie.
