Synopsis: The Flowers of Evil

Takao Kasuga, a reserved middle school student, cherishes books, especially Charles Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal, and harbors a crush on Nanako Saeki, the popular darling of their class. On the other hand, Sawa Nakamura, who has no interest in academics, is unpleasant and impudent. When Takao realizes that he left his book at school, he hastens back to recover it but stumbles upon Nanako's freshly-worn gym clothes lying on the ground. Overwhelmed by an inexplicable impulse, Takao commits the scandalous act of pilfering them, earning him the label of a lewd criminal. Consequently, Takao strives to steer clear of trouble and maintain his ordinary life despite the burden of remorse. However, Sawa, who witnessed his misdeed, has disparate ideas regarding his future...
