Synopsis: The Gods Lie

The soccer team's star player, eleven-year-old Natsuru Nanao, struggles to communicate with girls due to a traumatic event that happened after he transferred to his current school. Despite the absence of his father, Natsuru remains dedicated to his soccer goals and dreams of becoming a professional player. One day, Rio Suzumura, a female classmate, approaches Natsuru and changes his life forever. While bonding after saving an abandoned cat, Natsuru becomes smitten with Rio. He accompanies her and her younger brother Yuuta to the supermarket, and when he visits their home, he discovers they have been living alone in squalor. Rio begs Natsuru to keep their situation a secret, but as he spends more time with them, he uncovers the truth about their living conditions and the reason for their secrecy.
