Synopsis: The Regressed Villainess Makes a Vow of Chastity
Lydia Evanshi possessed everything a noblewoman could desire: a prestigious marquis lineage, wealth sufficient to last generations, and a beauty worthy of a masterpiece. The sole aspect she lacked was discerning taste in men. She devoted her entire heart, soul, liver, and gall to supporting a prince of humble origins, even assisting him in realizing his ambition of becoming emperor. In return, he betrayed her by having an affair with her distant relative, Giselle. Consequently, Lydia made a decision; she and Giselle would consume poison together to demonstrate what true obsession entailed. However, the scheme failed, resulting in Lydia being taken to a harsh, desolate labor camp. Shortly thereafter, a plague ravaged the frigid facility. With her frail, pale hands shaking, Lydia silently awaited her demise. "Why had I lived so foolishly for a man? If I could turn back time, I'd give myself a slap hard enough to shatter my own jaw."...Then, her opportunity presented itself. She woke up on the very afternoon she had poisoned Giselle's teacup, during tea time! Smack! Lydia instantly slapped her own cheeks to awaken and initiated her new existence. A new existence in which she would seek vengeance against Richard, who deserted her, Giselle, who betrayed her, and Devon, who traded her life. For that purpose, she requires Arsen Edith, the empire's prized sword. Lydia seeks him out, boldly proclaims that she has returned from the future, and requests his assistance. Arsen, skeptical yet intrigued, decides to observe her closely and begins to share her life. However, as time goes on, Arsen's perception of Lydia starts to transform into something completely different.
