Synopsis: The Ruler of the Land

Bi-Kwang, a dashing young warrior, loses his composure whenever he encounters a pretty lady. During his travels, he crosses paths with an elusive sword fighter in search of a legendary warrior. Bi-Kwang enters into an agreement with the fighter, promising to lend a hand if he is permitted to meet the fighter's enchanting sister. As the plot progresses, it is revealed that the sword fighter is indeed the sister, Hwa-Rin Dahm, who is compelled to assume a different identity to advance the narrative. Bi-Kwang is enraptured, and thus a love triangle with just two persons emerges. The narrative unfolds in a world where opposing factions vie to lead the Murim towards unification. Bi-Kwang excels at martial arts but refuses to learn it. He agrees to accompany the girl on a mission to locate her grandfather, the last person to see him before his disappearance. Along their way, they encounter various adversaries and occasional friends. Through these experiences, Bi-Kwang grows to understand the significance of martial arts and his misguided ways.
