Synopsis: The Saga of Tanya the Evil

Mesmerized by the absence of belief exhibited by a certain office worker in his dying moments, a supreme entity known as "Being X" reincarnates him into a world consumed by war and magic, with the intention of testing him. Being X assumes that the man will beseech the gods for assistance, should he come too close to accepting the grim reality of this strange new universe. Thus, Being X transforms him into a young girl by the name of Tanya Degurechaff, equipped with the knowledge of his past life. Tanya enrols in the army of her country, the Empire, and quickly establishes herself as a brilliant strategist and mage, leading her people to countless victories. Nonetheless, her ultimate aspiration is to retire from wartime leadership and foil the machinations of Being X in a tranquil life beyond the front lines. However, Tanya soon comes to realise that certain obstacles necessitate divine aid, despite her unrivalled talents, and she is left struggling with her mortality in the shadows of Being X.
