Synopsis: When Will Ayumu Make His Move?

Ayumu Tanaka impulsively abandons the Kendo Club to join the rebellious Shogi Club. Urushi Yaotome, a shogi master and president of the club, is elated at finally having a playing partner. As Ayumu’s upperclassman, Urushi takes it upon herself to guide him in shogi and serve as a role model. However, she often finds herself blushing with embarrassment as Ayumu unabashedly compliments her cuteness. Despite his fondness for her, Ayumu keeps his feelings hidden, vowing to defeat her in a shogi game first. Amidst their school life and shogi tournaments, Ayumu and Urushi share many entertaining and heartwarming experiences. Ayumu cherishes every moment with Urushi, yet remains far from achieving victory in shogi. Will Ayumu ever have the courage to confess his feelings to Urushi as he had promised himself?
