Synopsis: Boy's Abyss

Growing up in a rural area, Reiji Kurose has always believed his destiny is tied to his hometown. He's obligated to look after his grandmother, who is suffering from dementia, and his brother, a recluse who cannot function in normal society. Additionally, Reiji is at the mercy of Gen Minegishi, who controls every aspect of his existence. On the contrary, Reiji's childhood friend, Sakuko Akiyama, longs to escape the dreariness of their small town and pursue her dreams of living the high life in Tokyo. Tediously leading an uneventful life, Reiji finds solace in watching the performances of "Acrylic," an idol group with Nagi Aoe as the standout member. When he unexpectedly crosses paths with the popular idol at a convenience store in his bleak town, he has no inkling he's entering a chain of scandalous events with roots in the past. Losing his innocence, Reiji is caught in the throes of sin and forced to navigate his way in a web of lies, obsession, and treachery that threatens to obliterate him.
